Hi, I'm Atalissa. It's nice to meet you!I was born in 1999 in the exotic land of Iowa, near the town where I got my name.I was homeschooled and learned everything I know about art and fashion from my mom!My art and style are heavily influenced by fashion dolls (like Barbie and Monster High), gothic literature, performing arts, and my love of bright colors.I want to help people feel confident being unique and embracing the things they're passionate about. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm gonna go dunk myself in glitter.

Beyond the Canvas
Performance, production, body art, and large-scale creative work
Some of my favorite work happens where art, movement, and storytelling overlap. This collection features stage productions I helped shape through choreography, scenic painting, music editing, teaching, and performance, alongside selected dance work, body art, murals, window painting, and handmade props.
Featured Stage Productions
Peter Pan
Scenic Painter · Choreographer · Music Editor · Performer
At 17, I joined the production as an intern and painted the entire stage set. I also choreographed approximately one-third of the show, edited the production’s music, and performed as Captain Hook.
The Snow Queen
Assistant Dance Teacher · Scenic Painter · Choreographer · Music Editor · Performer
Later that year, I returned as an assistant dance teacher and painted the complete set for The Snow Queen. I contributed heavily to the production’s choreography and music editing and performed the title role.
A studio recording of the solo created for my role in the production.
Mary Poppins
Lead Choreographer · Performer
For Mary Poppins, I was trusted with the production’s overall movement vision and choreographed most of the show. I edited the whole soundtrack including editing music and adding dialogue clips from the movie. Existing competition routines were incorporated into a few scenes with new music to fit the story. I also performed as Bert.

Here comes the sun - competition solo 2011

Alice in wonderland 2019

This performance is inspired by the concept of Alice descending into madness.
The costume is made by me and my mom. It's a 2 part: the outer layer is inspired by "classic" Alice. The under layer is inspired by straight jackets and gothic art of victorian asylum girls.
The music is a "Sweet Dreams" mashup of the Eurythmics', Emily Browning, and Marylin Manson Versions of the song. I also mixed in clips from the animated movie.
I did the choreography on my own, sometimes taking inspiration from my old dances. I wanted the front part to be classic ballet, then slowly morph into something unhinged.
